Having an efficient Contact Manager is IMPERATIVE to managing your office, especially when you are in Sales! Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager seems to be the most efficient by far!
I have had some issues with the size of my .pst file (1400 contacts), but overall it is BETTER than some others I have tried. I am always in search of the Software that will SAVE ME TIME that I would rather spend SELLING!
I have tried Top Producer (2.5 years), Agent Office (never worked right and LOST a LOT of data), Respond (Never worked right for more than a couple of days and spent 50+ hours on phone with Tech Support).
It turns out that Outlook 2007 with BCM was always there, along with Word and Excel (Office Pro 2007)!
I had no idea that it LINKS emails to contacts and you can EXPORT that .pst file (if you have all emails saved to a folder relating to a SALE) to your Windows file that contains all your contracts, etc. and then BURN that file to a disk every year INSTEAD of keeping file boxes in the garage!
Every email you get can be flagged for FOLLOW UP as you read it.
You can even set up categories for Buyers A+B+C, Sellers, Office Maintenance, Networking, etc.
You can even set up rules that MOVE the email to the client's folder, later to be exported! That SAVES TIME!
NOW I have time to catch up with all the Buyer Leads for the Space Coast of Florida!
